Robert Koh shot Hole-in-1 on Navy 6 by Gerald Koh

Suddenly everyone wants to have the "Koh" last name. Besides being a descendant to the huge construction company Koh Brothers, your chance of scoring a hole-in-1 is also significantly higher.

One month after small Koh scored a Hin1 at Army 3, big Koh scored another one last Saturday 26th Sep 09 at Navy 6.

According to the live commentator, Albert Teo, it went like that:

"1 In 1, by Robert the Kohs', with 3 wood in hand and coughing a few times, at Navy Hole 6 Tee, Robert Took his stand and position he hit the ball (Pin hole at Centre /Right of Green).

It was a good hit, it sail into the centre of the Green, Robert said, "Si liao, siou kuat tau Luck, kuat tau liao . On reaching the green he headed straight to the back of Green,

But I found his ball ib the Pin Hole. Robert hit a Hole in 1. That all simple , next time all be Kohs"

I think the Chairman of the Speak Good English Movement would have died of a heart-attack after reading the post.

Come to think of it, the Speak Good Singlish Chairman would have committed suicide too. I don't know wtf he is talking about!!!

Initially, we all doubted Robert when he said he had a Hin1. We returned to the clubhouse at about 11.30 am when the course was close. It was so quiet at the table, it was so surreal, so un-Robert, if you know what I mean.

Unfortunately for Robert, he continued to use the same ball for the next hole. He pulled left for his tee-shot and lost the ball in the rough. What a waste.

The luck has been passed, from CYM to Pete Koh to Robert Koh, all in the same flight. So for this Saturday and every Saturday, and in every tournament where there is a car for Hin1, I want to be in Robert's flight.

Even 18 generations of ancestors I also will not recognise.

BTW, I heard that the celebration will be a game and all-expense paid trip for all of us at Blue Canyon at Koh Phuket!!!

Radio Karat!! Shortly after this photo was taken showing the very golf ball that "lubang-masuk-satu", it was not be be seen again as it decided to disappear into the middle of the hazard between the Par 4 "Jonas's Hole" and Par 4 Navy No 7.

A search party was immediately mobilised to look for it after the significance of this lost ball was revealed to the rest of the flight! Besides the 2 stroke penalty of course. But alas, the Club Marshal swiftly "pasan kaki" the Search and Recover Operation. Probably for fear that the earlier mentioned commentator could take this chance to, beside look for this HIN1 ball, also look for more balls!!! Highly possible but certainly understandable.

The playing partners for this flight were, Robert Koh, Albert Teo, Billy Foo and Peter Koh.
P.S. Reminder for flight mates to prepare the tube of golf balls each as gift to RK. :-)

What kind of blog article, reporting no head and no tail. No excitement looks like conspiracy theory.

Since nobody see the ball went in, there lies a bit of suspicion whether the ball actually went in the natural way or not. This kind of Hin1 cannot pass the Goofy Audit Committee Hin1 confirmation. The only way to dispute the Committee suspicion is to have a big celebration and invite all of them to interrogate the flight mates.

Think its time for the last flight mate to speak up for RK HIN1.

We played Navy-Army. RK was struggling with his game early. His 6-ers partner, A Teo is winning all the holes for him.

6'ers was over as we come to Navy 6(RK & A Teo won). Navy 6 is a fairly long par 3, RK needed a 3-Wood...

RK was last to tee off, I was only one remaining at the tee box watching his ball flight.

Ball goes high, heading towards center of green, I knew it landed above the slope. I just shouted "Good shot, ball clear slope.". Obviously fm the tee box that far away, we cannot see the ball movement after it landed on the green.

Reaching the green, RK and I went to the back of the green to find his ball. In my mind, i tot, "Alright, lost ball, u go tee off again....". As usual, RK go around saying "I see the ball come here, how to be lost....u got see my ball or not". Not too interested, A Teo and Peter were already at their ball position. I give up the search while RK continues. A Teo (nearest to the hole) preparing to putt his ball, Peter playing his ball in the bunker, my ball is the furthest and well short the green, I got to take a long walk to my ball, and decide to do the LeeHeng putt anyway, RK still searching and mumbling about his lost ball....

Without waiting for others, A Teo made his putt, it stopped near the hole, he walked to the pin, then he shouted "Your ball is here!!".

Overly excited, RK and Peter ran towards the hole, and F&^king hell, I still have not done my LH putt.

All were high-5ing, so I got to make a hasty LH putt, and join the "party". This was followed by 2 mins of photo taking, RK posing and pole dancing around the Pin.

Must say it was a unexpected Hin1, but RK is not taking any less of it. He is enjoying every moment of his achievement.

Marshal was watching on the side all this time (prob timing us...)

Robert was very happy, speaking non-stop while we drove to the next tee box, I can hear him even as I was in a diff buggy.

Jonas Hole - RK and I drive into the right hazard, Peter, and A Teo helped RK to find his ball. Not knowing what is not big deal and not interested, I found my ball and just play my ball. At that point, I think we should really speed up play as Marshall is watching us.

Its only later that I knew he lost his Hin1 ball. RK double par that hole, but he is still happy.

Like what RK told me during lunch, "You got Hole-in-one before or not..."

Not many of us can say that...so Well Done Robert!!

Billy I like your story!! In fact if only there was a camera on this stupid old PC in the Bukit Merah Library, I could see myself smiling, like a siow nang!!!

Now the hazard at Jonas hole - let me think. We played later than RK's flight and were looking there for Jonathan's ball. He found other balls. Wonder if anyone of them was the Hin1 ball!!! Jonathan, you better go check your balls!

Aiyah, never mind the ranting lah. that is normal from the Goofies. It is a case of makan liao, eng eng boh tai qi choa. If no ranting than not Goofy. Ha ha.

It was a good day and Billy narrated it very well I think. This is real drama ok. Got head, got tail, got body, round body is still a body ok. Somemore got guest appearance by way of reference to "Jonas' Hole" even though he wasn't there. ha ha. By the way, do you know what is the average age of the goofy group? Anyway can guess?
